Team Always for Kate
Please join team ALWAYS FOR KATE as we raise much needed funds for Brain Tumor Research in loving memory of our daughter KATIE BEDNAREK.
Katie was diagnosed with a DIPG brain stem tumor on Sept 18, 2013 at the start of her senior year of High School. She passed away on Feb 11, 2015 after a graceful, inspiring and brave 17 month battle with brain cancer at the age of 19 years old. Katie NEVER gave up HOPE and lived each day for the next. Katie participated in 2 Race for Hope events and asked that we continue participation in her memory.
Please come together with friends, family, neighbors, Lockheed Martin co-workers, and Cherokee Highschool friends to honor the Brave Beautiful Brilliant spirit that Katie shared with all of us. This is the 12th Anniversary of Team Always for Kate's participation in the Race For Hope and we are super excited to be able to join together in person this year at our new location, Cooper River Park in Pennsauken NJ
Every year there are new medical break throughs in the fight against Brain Tumors directly attributed to you and your generous donations year after year. I have been on the Race for Hope Planning Committee since 2019 and have had the opportunity to meet some incredibly amazing Brain Tumor survivors who amaze me with their dedication to this mission to find a cure.
Race day for our family is a celebration of what Katie meant to so many people and how she gracefully fought during her battle with DIPG. Please celebrate with us this year.
Please help us by donating so that we can make a difference and help find a cure for Brain Cancer, so that another young person or their family and friends will never have to experience what Katie endured.
Kate is missed so very much. Please help in keeping her memory alive with your participation and donation.
Make a donation and / or join our team. TEAM ALWAYS FOR KATE!!!!!
