Miles 4 Mike
Thank you for your support of The National Brain Tumor Society, and our Miles 4 Mike team. The sheer amount of love, support, donations & positive energy that has been contributed over the past three years is nothing short of incredible.
In our first year as a team, we were able to raise over $11,000 for brain tumor research, patient treatments, GBM advocacy & caregiver support. In our second year, we exceeded our goals and raised approximately $13,000 as a team. Please consider joining us in our third year as we look to achieve our goal of raising $10,000!
100% of proceeds go to The National Brain Tumor Society.
We walk in honor of Mike Sokolowski, who was an amazing husband, incredible father to five kids, a son, a brother, an uncle, a business owner, and a best friend to so many. After his life-changing diagnosis of Grade 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme in November of 2021, Mike tried his very best each day to continue living the normal life that he loved…'Strong Like Bull’, as he was famous for saying. We formed this team to honor his legacy and share his story, as well as raise awareness for other families experiencing similar tribulations with brain tumor diagnoses. Although Mike was unable to join us in person our first year, he watched on from the sidelines at home as we rallied together in support of him and this important cause. Mike unfortunately passed away soon after our first walk, on October 28, 2022. We continue to join together as a team to carry out our promise to him, to raise awareness and hopefully one day contribute to finding a cure for this disease. Please consider donating and following us along, or even joining us on October 20, 2024, as we walk in Mike’s honor. Mike's favorite place to be was the beach, so it is only fitting that the route is along one of Boston's beaches!
Thank you in advance for your donations!
