I have registered to fundraise for the National Brain Tumor Society's (NBTS) National Brain Tumor Ride in honor of Brain Tumor Awareness Month. I am a survivor and passionate to educate and help others facing similar diagnosis.
I was diagnosed with a Brain Stem Tumor, a Choroid Plexus Papilloma, over a decade ago. Thankfully the tumor was benign, however as a result of surgery, I became paralyzed from the neck up.
I am thankful for being able to participate in this event. For a long time, I was unable to ride a bicycle.
The event is scheduled for May 19th, 2024. You can choose a distance you are comfortable with, participate virtually, or make a donation.
