The Low Show
This team was created to honor Mark McKenna, a man whose life was taken much too soon by Glioblastoma in 2015. "The Low Show" was chosen as the name for this team because it truly represents Mark and all that he was.
The story is best told by his son in person, but in order to understand Mark, you need to know the story!
"The Low Show" is what Mark called the ground show during fireworks. While everyone else would wait for the grand finale, Mark would be waiting for "The Low Show" and when it started he would actually yell, "The Looooooooooowwwwww Shoooooooowwwwwwww," usually with a Busch Light in hand and a huge smile on his face :)
Mark lived his life appreciating "The Low Show" - he appreciated all of those little moments throughout his life, rather than waiting for something big to celebrate.
Please help us honor Mark (a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend) by donating or joining our team. Funds raised here help to direct promising research, support families who are currently coping with the effects of a brain tumor diagnosis, and advocate for change. Since 2016, our team raised just over $24,000. In 2024, our team goal is $3,000!
If you have The Low Show Team T-Shirt, please wear it to the walk!
Whether you wear the The Low Show t-shirt or not, we can all wear anything patriotic that we have to represent The Low Show (red, white & blue clothes, body paint, wigs, hats, tattoos, sunglasses, leis, beads, anything goes!).
Mark will be looking down thinking how cool it is that we are all getting together for such a great cause.
