For Uncle Bill
Glioblastoma Multiforme is a ever too common and agreesive type of brain tumor. It affects about 12000 new people each year.
And in 2023 it took my Uncle Bill from me.
There's not much in terms of treatment options for GBMs and the standard of care hasn't changed since before I was born, over 30 years ago! Something new is out there, we just havent researched and trialed it yet. Funding isnt really funneled into these types of things so please help if you can.
It has been over a year since the brain tumor stole my uncle. His clothes don't have his smell anymore and my memories and the past are all I will ever have with him now. I hope to use my future to bring awareness and seek new advances in the treatment and search for a cure.
I am not able to make it to Cali for the event, but plan to walk locally. Please do what you can to support the cause virtually with me.
