Jolly Rogers

The Brain Tumor Walk is a fun and inspirational day where the brain tumor community unites to inspire hope and take action in the fight against brain tumors.  Join the walk at the San Francisco Zoo on June 8, 2024!

The event is in San Francisco - we will be participating virtually, as we have moved out of state.

Progress in this fight starts one team, one walker, and one dollar at a time. Like the National Brain Tumor Society, we are fiercely committed to finding a cure.  Funds raised from this event help the National Brain Tumor Society to:

  • Fund strategic research initiatives aimed at finding new therapies for both adult and pediatric brain tumors such as glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) and oligodendrogliomas, as quickly as possible.

  • Empower the brain tumor community to advocate for vital government programs and policies to strengthen research and improve access to essential health care services.

  • Provide helpful online information and support resources to the brain tumor community.

About the National Brain Tumor Society:

National Brain Tumor Society is the largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the brain tumor community in the United States.  With a thorough understanding of the challenges which have slowed progress and a deep commitment to the diverse needs of this community, we believe improving patient access to better treatments and the discovery of a cure are vital.  It's time to build on progress and transform tomorrow, today.

About Team Jolly Rogers

Roger Bauleke was an eleven-year survivor of a primary brain tumor. He personally raised over $5,000 for NBTS (then NBTF) each year, for ten of those years.

Roger's no longer here to raise those funds in person, but we've pledged to continue to raise money for NBTS for as long as there's a Bay Area Brain Tumor Walk.

An' a right scurvy lot we be!  As Team Jolly Rogers, we piratical-types be pillaging an' plunderin' an' hoping to turn out the coffers to bring in lots of gold, silver doubloons an' bullion for the Cause.  Can ye help us out, Matey?

Thank you so much for all of your support and we hope to see you at the Bay Area Brain Tumor Walk!

Join us and together we will make a difference.

Want to make a donation but don't want to do the online thing?  Send an email to dawn@earlylight.com and we'll make sure you get the right form to mail in your donation!
