Northern California Brain Tumor Walk

Team Green Swamp

Tom and I will be participating in the brain tumor walk in SF on June 23rd.  My step dad, Daryl, passed away several years ago from brain cancer.  He was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma grade IV, this is the most aggressive malignant primary brain tumor.

More money needs to be raised for research, education, and to help out families suffering from brain tumors.  This type of cancer is so aggressive that median survival without treatment is 3 to 4 months and with treatment 12 to 16 months.  Part of the reason is the struggle to find drugs that can cross the blood-brain barrier and act on the tumor.  This is where research is needed!!  So please help out and donate whatever you can, every dollar helps.

The Brain Tumor Walk is a fun and inspirational day where the brain tumor community unites to inspire hope and take action in the fight against brain tumors.

Progress in this fight starts one team, one walker, and one dollar at a time. Like the National Brain Tumor Society, we are fiercely committed to finding a cure.

Join us and together we will make a difference.
