Welcome to My Personal Page
My family has once again joined "Lisa's Riders" to fundraise for the National Brain Tumor Society's (NBTS) National Brain Tumor Ride on May 19 in honor of Brain Tumor Awareness Month.
We are participating again this year with 3 very special people in mind. Of course, we are riding in honor of our cousin and friend Lisa Shapiro, who has been battling a brain tumor since 1995. Lisa has fought through multiple surgeries and treatments and continues to fight against what is now stage 4 brain cancer. She is truly amazing. Throughout all of this she has remained positive and vigilant in her fight, and is busy raising her three beautiful children and working hard to raise money to support brain tumor research. We are so proud to be a part of this team! Lisa's strength is incredible and she inspires me everyday.
We also are riding in memory of my dear friend for almost 30 years, Dorothy Nelson, who passed away from a brain tumor in 2019. Dory was a sweet angel, who had such an impact on so many people. Our friend group has a saying, "WWDD" - What Would Dory Do?. I know that when I ask myself this question and live life on this path, I have done right.
In 2023, I had yet another friend add brain tumor to her long, unique list of health issues this year. If anyone could beat brain tumor surgery, it was Bentley Hornak, and she sure did. She's a rockstar and an incredibly positive light in my life.
Please consider donating and supporting me, Yosi, Zach and Rachel as we ride for this incredibly worthy and important cause. We thank you so very much.
