On Sunday, May 15, I am biking the 40-mile route in the annual Boston Brain Tumor Ride. I will be part of Team Starr, a dedicated group that has raised tens of thousands of dollars over the years to battle brain tumors. This ride is sponsored by the National Brain Tumor Society, which exists to fund research that will lead to a cure for brain tumors.



Brain tumors are the leading cause of solid tumor cancer deaths in children and the third leading cause of cancer deaths in adults under the age of 40. Many past supporters have told me personal stories of loved ones lost to brain tumors.


There is a critical need to fund research and find a cure for brain tumors. The entire brain tumor community needs our support, including the doctors, nurses, scientists, and most importantly, the patients and their families who are fighting for a better future.
