Welcome to My Personal Page
Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you know, I have been participating in charity bike rides for the over a decade raising money to help in the fight against cancer. The 2024 Brain Tumor Ride will be my eleventh appearance in this event. The fight became much closer to my family in 2014 when Matt Svirsky, Trish's nephew, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. As most of you know, Matt lost his battle against this horrific disease in 2017. I had hoped that a cure would have come in time for Matt. Unfortunately that did not happen. A cure will come and I will continue to try to help by raising money for research into finding that cure. This year I ride in memory of Matt and my Brother-in-Law Bill, Matt's dad, who also succumbed to this disease.
What can you do? You can participate in the 2024 National Brain Tumor Ride as a riding or donating member of The Matt Pack. We can be inspired by Matt and Bill in our training, our fundraising and by donating to help researchers find a cure.
The minimum fundraising requirement for riders this year is $300.00. There are virtual and in person ride options this year. I plan on participating in the in person ride which starts and ends in Waltham, MA.
Thanks for your continued support.
Jim
