Welcome to My Personal Page
On Sunday, May 16, my family and I will be participating in the National Brain Tumor Ride. We ride in honor and memory of my dad who passed away last year. This year would have been the 24th consecutive year he had participated in this event.
One of the last good days with dad was last year's ride...one month before he passed. The National Brain Tumor community has been an integral part of our family's life since his diagnosis back in 1997. The fundraising and the ride brought out the best in him every year. Throughout the years my brothers and our families would join him for the ride, including my son who rode the last 7 years in Boston with him.
This year the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS) created the William A. Coffman Champion Award to honor his legacy as the standout champion of the NBTS mission. He brought all his positive energy, smile, and fun colored hair each and every year to the Ride.
We all miss him so much and want to carry on his legacy with the event. He had a positive impact on so many people during his amazing life…he will be forever missed.
Thank you, Bill
