This is the 29th year that Allie's Team has been participating in The National Brain Tumor Society Ride, and the 30th anniversary of the Ride and of Allie‘s diagnosis with an inoperable Grade 4 astrocytoma. We ride every year to find a cure and bring an end to this horrible disease. And we ride to remember Allie and to keep her smile, laughter, and friendship close to our hearts.Allie was my sister, friend, doubles partner, hitting partner, and boy, was she loving and funny!
Allie was one of Margaret Field Kelly's best friends growing up in RI and later her college roommate in NH. It was just a year after she graduated when she was diagnosed and she died just before her 25th birthday.
One day, we hope that this annual appeal won't be necessary. Until that day, until we find a cure, Allie’s Team will keep riding, bringing together Allie‘s family, friends, the incredible extended Field family who have participated in this ride every year in some fashion, and we hope we can include you as a donor in this warm and generous group!
