National Brain Tumor Ride

Team Double-O-Snow

Welcome to learning more about Team Double-O-Snow and the National Brain Tumor Bike Ride fundraiser on Sunday, May 19, 2024!

This is the 10th year for Team Double-O-Snow in the Bike Ride.  My name is Alan Snow. I am a brain tumor patient and survivor....class of 2013! I have the good fortune to be able to participate in the Bike Ride and focus my efforts toward raising awareness and support for the National Brain Tumor Society.

My personal page contains more information regarding my specific brain tumor experience. However, this is not about me. It is about a united and focused team effort to inspire hope and help with improving the lives of all those affected by brain tumors. Some of you may be impacted by such patients within your own family or circle of friends. We welcome and encourage you to use this event to acknowledge your support and/or honor these individual(s) if you wish to make a donation in their name through our team. Team Double-O-Snow is dedicated to honoring and supporting the larger community of individuals, family, and friends involved in this fight.

Progress in this fight starts with one team, one rider, and one dollar at a time. Like the National Brain Tumor Society, we are fiercely committed to finding a cure. Any small donation will be greatly appreciated to help us reach our ultimate goal!

Thank you for your support!

Alan

So why the odd team name?

I have been in the safety, security, and emergency preparedness profession my entire career. Many years ago, a colleague and friend designated me with the comical nickname Double-O-Snow. Yes.....it is in reference to the fictional movie character, James Bond, OO7. Because of its "secret" nature only a few people refer to me by this nickname (thank goodness!) Yet, it seemed an appropriate name for the team. However, this mission will be accomplished without the traditional OO7 fictional antics, famous vehicles, or gadgets (although, be careful around my bike!) The same OO7 unrelenting commitment and passion to save the world from evil is embodied in Team Double-O-Snow to raise funding and awareness in the fight against brain tumors and provide support for impacted families!
