Welcome to Team Smiley
I am reaching out to ask for your support my niece, Karolina Atsalis by donating to her team for National Brain Tumor Society’s walk taking place in Boston on October 20th.
In December 2021, at the age of 27, she was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Anaplastic Astrocytoma, IDH mutant. Just three days after her diagnosis, she had a gross total resection of the tumor at Mass General Hospital. Since Karolina's diagnosis, she received initial treatment that included both radiation and chemotherapy which has been followed up with maintenance chemotherapies and monthly brains scans. Karolina has set sights on her future continues to live life to the fullest every day.
