New England Brain Tumor Walk

Team Maureen

In March 2020, we lost our dear friend and sister, Maureen, to Glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive brain tumor.  She had been diagnosed in January 2019 and shortly thereafter had undergone two brain surgeries to remove the tumor.  For the next 14 months she showed incredible strength and courage as she met each day determined to beat this terrible disease.

Maureen was an amazing woman who was able to make everyone laugh with her dry and witty sense of humor.  She was humble and smart.  She loved the beach, particularly at the end of the day.  Maureen loved sipping wine and discussing books.  She loved to golf and travel, and she was fortunate to have spent time visiting most of the 50 states, Canada, Europe, and Africa.  But the thing that Maureen loved most was spending time with friends and family.  She was kind and compassionate, always going out of her way to bring happiness to others.  We miss her every day.

To honor and celebrate Maureen, we are coming together with others to raise both awareness and funds to help find a cure for Glioblastoma and other brain tumors.

All funds raised will go to directly to The National Brain Tumor Society; an organization that invests, mobilizes, and unites the brain tumor community to discover a cure, deliver effective treatments, and advocate for patients and caregivers. It is the largest patient advocacy organization in the United States committed to curing brain tumors and improving the lives of patients and families.

Please consider supporting The National Brain Tumor Society today by making a donation to Team Maureen.

Together we can find a cure for Glioblastoma and other brain tumors!
