Welcome to My Personal Page

Hi Everyone,
This is our 3rd year as Team Holly Grace and that we are walking/ running The Race for Hope D.C. and I can’t wait for it to be bigger and better then ever!!!!
For all of you who do not know and to keep a long story short...after an episode with delayed speech landed me in the emergency room we found out I had a plum sized tumor on the temporal lobe of my brain. From, there I had surgery to have the tumor removed that was a success for the most part but unfortunately after two weeks of recovery my husband Matt and I went to the Dr. and found out that I had Grade III Anaplastic Astrocytoma, this is a rare tumor that requires aggressive treatments. With this being the case, I am currently taking a Chemo pill every morning called Temodar, along with 33 days of Radiation Therapy, Monday- Friday from March 21st- May 4th. Which I currently just finished my first week of…YAYYYY!!!
Going through all of this has changed me in more ways than you could possibly imagine BUT not too many… I am still the same “me” with the same positive outlook and adventurous spirit. I live every second for Matt and our 3 kids, Zoey 9, Juliet 18months and Matt Jr. 6months, and love nothing more than being with my family and friends. This can NOT be the end of my story… I have to believe that there is a cure somewhere out there and that through this walk/ race we are able to support the funds and accessibility to find a cure.
Please join me in donating to the 2016 Race for Hope – DC. Many of our family and friends will be walking that day and would love for you to be by our side as we stride through the streets of Washington, DC but if you can’t, please donate any amount and help us in any way you can!!!!
I thank you, love you and appreciate you all so much, with God beside me and YOU all on my team, I believe in HOPE and a CURE for Brain Cancer,
Holly Gibbons
xoxo
