GBM Awareness Day Fundraiser for Lynn
Today, Wednesday, July 19, 2023 is the 5th Annual National
Glioblastoma (GBM) Awareness Day. This day was created through a
bipartisan bill passed in Congress in 2019 to create awareness for this
incurable disease, the most lethal form of brain cancer. GBM took the
lives of Ted Kennedy, John McCain, Tug McGraw and Darren Daulton as well
as the lives of my dear friends Mindy Wolinsky, Lexi Caviston and Jessica Morris. I was diagnosed around the same time as my friends. GBM
does not discriminate by age, gender, race, wealth or politics and is the most lethal form of brain cancer.
We will continue to raise research funds until no one has to die from
you haven’t donated this year, I hope you can find it in your heart to
give something, anything. Each and every dollar matters.

They are aggressively driving strategic research; advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community; and providing comprehensive patient, family and caregiver resources.
