I have registered again this year to fundraise for the National Brain Tumor Society's (NBTS) National Brain Tumor Ride in honor of Brain Tumor Awareness Month. I am passionate about the NBTS mission to conquer and cure brain tumors — once and for all.
I watched first hand the debilitating effects of brain tumors while caring for my mother. In a devastatingly short amount of time, Mom went from a strong and outspoken individual to someone who could not even speak for herself. I watched her live inside her body hearing and understanding me and others while not able to communicate either verbally or in writing. I don't believe anyone should be forced to suffer this fate as a result of a brain tumor.
This cause is near and dear to my heart. Thank you so much for your support as I ride 62 miles for my mom on May 21st. I will continue to go Gray in May for as long as I am able.
