Welcome to My Personal Page
My father, Barry William Recht, lived every day of his life with excitement and love for each moment. Those who knew him gravitated toward him-- his personality so outgoing, his demeanor so inviting-- his very existence was a magnetic force. For a man who loved so many and did so much and made such an impact on those around him, 58 years was simply not enough time. On June 19, 2007, Barry lost his final battle with the chordoma brain tumor that he fought so fiercely for over three years. He has been painfully missing from this earth ever since, but his energy lives on in and inspires his family and friends, and even those who never knew him. On June 10, 2023, I am delighted to join my colleagues and friends on Team Orrick, for the team's 21st year participating in this event! I'll be walking with the zoo animals and raising funds in memory of Barry Recht, in celebration of our former colleague Marie Riehle and our current colleague Dawn Evans, both of whom are brain tumor survivors, and and in honor of all those whose lives have been affected by brain tumors. There are too many of us and the pain is too great to bear alone, but the HOPE prevails.
I am uniting with others to make a difference in the fight against brain tumors. I am passionate about this cause, so I’m taking action. I need your help in this fight. National Brain Tumor Society will not rest until a cure exists - but more needs to be done. Please join in my effort!

National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research; advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community; and providing comprehensive patient, family and caregiver resources. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
