Welcome to My Personal Page
My family and I are taking part in the mid-September Colorado Brain Tumor Walk & Race to help raise money for the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS). NBTS works to develop better treatments, and ultimately find a cure for brain tumors, which is something that’s incredibly important to our family.
In July 2020, my dad was diagnosed with glioblastoma, incurable brain cancer. While the majority of people diagnosed with this cancer pass away within 12-18 months of diagnosis, my dad has persevered. As an outlier, he skied approximately 200,000 vertical feet the last two ski seasons and has been able to maintain his quality of life. For more information about my dad’s inspiring story, please visit https://sandrabornstein.com/for-glio/.
Our goal is not only to raise awareness around the critical issues facing brain tumor patients and their loved ones, but to raise valuable funds that will move us closer to a cure. That is why we are reaching out to you. With your support, our family hopes to raise a significant amount for NBTS to fund patient-centered research, advocate for public policy change, and improve the lives of brain tumor patients and their care partners.
Please consider supporting the Keep Moving; No Regrets Team's efforts by making a gift online. If you reside in the metro Denver area, please consider joining us at Sloan’s Lake for the NBTS walk on September 17.
Thank you for your support as we embark on this journey.
National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research; advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community; and providing comprehensive patient, family and caregiver resources. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
