Welcome to Ed and Mary's personal page
On Sept. 30th, together with family and Team Mangelli-Magee East, Mary and Ed will join the National Brain Tumor Society's 5K fundraising walk at Jones Beach, NY in honor of our beloved brother and brother-in-law, James.
As a toddler, James discovered his love for the ocean at Jones Beach. He walked to water's edge like a newly hatched sea turtle drawn to its natural home.
Throughout his life, James swam in many waters until he died of glioblastoma, the most commonly occurring malignant brain cancer, with 5 year survival rate of 6.9%.
We are uniting with others to try to make a difference in the fight against brain tumors. The National Brain Tumor Society asserts that it will not rest until a cure exists - but more needs to be done. Any amount will be greatly appreciated.

National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research; advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community; and providing comprehensive patient, family and caregiver resources. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
