Welcome to My Personal Page
In January of 2021, my dad was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma, the deadliest and most aggressive type of cancerous brain tumor. A simple Google search of "glioblastoma" will tell you that the average life expectancy after diagnosis is 14 to 16 months. The 5-year survival rate is only 6.8%. We were lucky to get 20 months with my dad, but unfortunately most of those months were spent in and out of hospitals, fighting for his life until he couldn't fight any more.
This year, for my dad's birthday, my siblings and I are participating in a brain tumor walk in his honor, three days before his birthday. Brain cancer is underfunded compared to other types of cancer and treatment options are limited. We need your help in this fight and to hopefully one day provide future glioblastoma patients with better chances at survival than my dad had. If you'd like to join us in this walk, please join our team, "The Tumornators"!
National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research; advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community; and providing comprehensive patient, family and caregiver resources. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
