Race for Hope Philadelphia

Team Jess

Jess Finlayson was diagnosed in 2018 at the age of 26 with AA3 brain tumor. Jess was an 8th grade Math teacher and Varsity Volleyball coach at Northampton Area School District in Pennsylvania. After 3 craniotomies, radiation and chemo, Jess's tumor morphed into a Glioblastoma (GBM). Jess fought hard in 2020 with many surgeries and treatments but lost her battle to this horrible disease in January 2021.

Team Jess is participating in National Brain Tumor Society's Race For Hope again this year. The last 2 years, the event was virtual and Jess walked with us in 2020. This year we are joining other Pennsylvania teams and WALKING OR RUNNING a 5K in Philadelphia.
