Southern California Brain Tumor Walk & Race

Aiden's A Team

Friends & Family,

We invite you to join us (Aiden's A-Team) in supporting the National Brain Tumor Society's fight against brain tumors.

On February 3rd, 2022, we were rocked by the news that our 2 year old son, Aiden, was diagnosed with a brain tumor.  We spent days in the hospital faced with the gut-wrenching pain of the challenges that lay ahead and the uncertainty of outcomes.  It was an experience we never imagined ourselves facing and truly brought us to our knees.

A few days later, Aiden underwent surgery at CHLA which resulted in a full resection of the tumor and, to everyone's surprise, ended up being an extremely rare, non-malignant mass.  Aiden spent the next weeks and months at home recovering and, in September 2022, underwent eye surgery to correct the crossing resulting from the tumor.

Today, Aiden is doing great, attending pre-school, and spreading his contagious smile and sense of humor everywhere he goes.  We are so grateful to the amazing medical teams at CHLA, Children’s Cincinnati, and UCLA for the incredible care and support they’ve provided us throughout this difficult journey.

We are also incredibly grateful for all of you.  Our family, friends, colleagues and even strangers who supported us in such an immense way during those trying days.  We could not have gotten through it without you.

It’s for this reason that we ask you to join us in supporting the National Brain Tumor Society whose research & support network help bring hope to so many patients and their families.

Thank you,

Spencer & Kristen
