UCLA Pi Beta Phi
Hi everyone! My name is Gabby Bauman and I am a current Junior in Pi Beta Phi at UCLA. During the summer going into my sophomore year of high school, I began to experience seizures that ultimately brought me into UC Davis Hospital where I would stay for 3 weeks. During the first couple of days of my stay I had an emergency 8 hour craniotomy on a Cerebral Cavernous Malformation (CMM). Post-op, I recovered in the ICU and received inpatient occupational and physical therapy. I have seen first hand the mental and physical obstacles that brain tumor trauma imposes not just on the individuals, but on their families. I encourage you to join this team and walk/run on April 15th in solidarity for those who have endured the taxing repercussions that affect brain tumor survivors and their families. Thank you in advance for advocating for research and awareness! National Brain Tumor Society will not rest until a cure exists - but more needs to be done. Please join in my effort!
National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research and advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
