My personal fight!!
On November 21, 2022 I thought I was having my routine mri to check my MS, a disease I have had for 13 years. Little did I know, that MRI would be life changing and the radiologist would find a brain tumor. Fast forward to 2/15/23, through a brain biopsy and recovery, I thought I was getting news of a low grade glioma, but my pathology reports showed otherwise. Glioblastoma is a word I pray no one has to hear. The first thing I did was google, then break down in tears. I went from being a mom and wife who was going to grow old with my husband and experience all the mom things you would get to experience in our old age, to now just praying I make it to high school graduation. I have completed 30 sessions of radiation, and 6 weeks of chemotherapy so far. I plan on fighting this with every ounce of life I have. And I am so thankful for all the love and support I have received from my family and friends.
I am uniting with others to make a difference in the fight against brain tumors. I am passionate about this cause, so I’m taking action. I need your help in this fight. National Brain Tumor Society will not rest until a cure exists - but more needs to be done. Please join in my effort!
