Georgia Brain Tumor Walk & Race

WSB-TV remembers Jovita

There is promise in the fight against brain tumors.

We lost our colleague Jovita Moore in 2021 to a rare, aggressive brain cancer and now the WSB-TV family is supporting the work of the National Brain Tumor Society with a 5K and a first-of-its-kind event in Georgia.

In 2021, Jovita went from anchoring a newscast to the ER to a diagnosis of aggressive brain cancer.

She fought with grit and grace, urging everyone else that if something doesn't feel right to get it checked out.

Now she is inspiring change. An outpouring of support from the Atlanta community following her passing led the National Brain Tumor Society to stage its first-ever run and walk in Atlanta. The event was such a success that NBTS is back at The Battery on May 11.

Join Team WSB-TV remembers Jovita by walking with us or by making a donation to the National Brain Tumor Society.

Her surgeon, Dr. Edjah K. Nduom says this fight is picking up steam, and with your support, the fight will be won!
