Welcome to My Personal RFH Fundraising Page
I have registered, once again, to fundraise for the National Brain Tumor Society's (NBTS) Race for Hope-DC because I am passionate about their mission to conquer and cure tumors - once and for all.
I was made aware of this organization back in 2008 while following American Idol David Cook's journey--when his older brother Adam was battling this disease and heartbreakingly lost his fight in 2009.
Years later, sadness once again hit close to home when my nephew, James, was also diagnosed with a brain tumor. I am happy to say that after surgery, excellent treatment and new drug options, James, is doing well.
More recently this awful disease took another life, that of my friend and ex-co-worker, Bob, who succumbed to a glioblastoma. Bob faced his last days the way he lived his life: with determination. Thankfully, his final days were good ones and he died peacefully. We all wish for that.
More money is needed for research. Research that can pave the way for new and better treatments and ultimately a cure.
This year I will again be raffling off another David Cook lap quilt/blanket---good for cozying up on the sofa while listening to great music! For a chance to win this David Cook T-shirt/Lap Quilt/Blanket, donate to this, my personal RFH fundraising page. For every $10 donation, you will be awarded one entry.
NBTS needs your support. Supporting this mission is more critical than ever. No donation is too small. With your help, we can make a difference in the lives of those living with a brain tumor.
Please consider tuning in as we honor this community on Sunday, May 4th, 2025. For more information on the National Brain Tumor Society, visit www.braintumor.org.
