Welcome to My Personal Page
Please join our team, 'TellyStrong', at the 28th Annual RACE FOR HOPE DC, on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Freedom Plaza in our Nation's Capital. If you're not able to join us in the walk/run, then please consider donating to our cause. I am extremely passionate about raising awareness and funds for this cause, specifically for Glioblastoma Brain Cancer. And now I am taking action.
This is especially close to my heart, as I lost my beloved husband Telly to this dreadful, incurable brain cancer on May 27, 2022.
Telly was diagnosed in June of 2021, had an immediate craniotomy, went through months of chemotherapy, and radiation only to have his tumor reappear, in addition to a new one, in an inoperable location. We were told at that time that there was nothing else they could do for him. He was un-methylated and ineligible for any clinical trials and had already tried the (only) THREE standard treatment options that exist for Glioblastoma. We wouldn't accept that so we drove out of state to try and see if another hospital could provide more treatment options for Telly but there just weren't any more available.
Telly fought as hard as he could for the 11 months that he lived with Glioblastoma but sadly the disease rapidly took over and Telly lost his battle. I promised my Telly that I would continue to fight and try and find a cure. And at the very least, raise more awareness for this awful disease. And I'm hoping to unite with others to make a difference in the fight against brain tumors, specifically Glioblastoma. I need your help in this fight.
THANK YOU FOR HONORING TELLY and supporting our team, TellyStrong.
National Brain Tumor Society will not rest until a cure exists - but more needs to be done. Please join in my effort.
Thank you ,
