The Albert Army is excited to join forces with the National Brain Tumor Society by participating in 2022 Race for Hope-DC on May 1, 2022.
Gary Albert could accurately be described as the life of the party and the center of attention. In the winter of 2020, Gary went to see his internist because he was concerned about forgetting things, like not remembering how to get to places he visited daily. After pushing his internist for an MRI who initially told him "Welcome to your 50s!", he was shockingly and devastatingly diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor that summer. After two biopsies months apart it was later discovered that Gary had a GBM. Glioblastoma is also known as Glioblastoma multiform and is considered the most aggressive type of cancer that begins within the brain. Gary fought a hard battle until late June of 2021 with the support of his loving wife, Maddie and children, Riley and Adam.
In Gary's honor, Maddie, Riley and Adam are committed to conquering and curing brain tumors — once and for all. Thank you for your support of this critical mission. For more information on the National Brain Tumor Society, visit www.braintumor.org.
