Our lives changed forever in May of 1998 when Dad was diagnosed with a brain tumor. One year later, our family participated in the Race for Hope for the first time with Dad walking proudly as a survivor. Sadly, that was the only race he attended; he lost his battle to brain cancer on December 14, 1999. Since then, our family has dedicated our time and energy to raising money for research, and we proudly participate in the race every year in honor of Dad.
