Every survivor story is uniquely different, and every story of struggle is uniquely difficult. This is the core of our brain tumor community, and the Race for Hope DC is the largest platform in which our comunity members gather each year!

What's my story?  While I have been a part of the Race for Hope community since 2009, I have been a part of the brain tumor community since tackling my first brain tumor at age 4, in 1987. The challenge is that the size and scope of that craniophryngioma tumor changed my life forever. As difficult, unsettling and scary as 1987 was for my family...it was just step one of my journey.

Fast forward through age 8, 12, 15 and then 27. These milestones brough me to where I am today, a 5 time tumor tackler!

I am incredibly grateful to have a network of fellow Tumor Tacklers that I celebrate, walk with and spread HOPE to, through various NBTS events. The greatest gift is to be surrounded by hundreds of other brain tumor survivors at the Race for Hope each year!
