In memory of Alison! We miss you!!
I am walking in memory of Alison. I met Alison in medical school in 1990! We became close friends and remained so after medical school. With my family in California (something we shared in common), Alison and Keith and Spencer became my local family and were there for me whenever I needed the love and support that usually a family would provide. Alison was diagnosed with a low grade brain tumor in the fall of 2003. Unfortunately, in the fall of 2006 it transformed into a high grade tumor. Alison lost her struggle with her tumor in July 2007. I lost not only a dear friend, but a sister. Today, my friends and I are running and walking in her memory. I hope that science can catch up so that no one else needs to lose a loved one to a brain tumor!
