Welcome to My Personal Page
RFH 2022
It’s been three years since we’ve been to Washington, DC.
And this year we finally get to go back!!! Yay!!!
I really can’t believe that 2019 was the last time we all came together, survivors, family, caregivers alike, and made that 3.5 mile trek down Pennsylvania Ave. (some faster than others ;) )
A lot has changed in these last three years, but the one thing that hasn’t is my commitment to this cause… to eradicate Brain Tumors in our lifetime.
Those of you that know me know why I choose to fight for a cure. We lost my mother-in-law to an inoperable brain tumor in 2002 and just a little over a year later my Dad was gone from Metastatic brain cancer. I was a caregiver to both and watched this disease take pieces of them, little by little until there was nothing left.
No one should have to suffer like they did, like anyone with this horrible disease does… and no one should have to mourn like those who are left behind.
We have to annihilate cancer, sooner rather than later. If we could come up with not one, but multiple Covid vaccines in a year, what could we do for cancer research? That cure is there, I can FEEL it.
But we need to raise the money for the research that will find it.
I am so proud to be a member of David Cook's Team for a Cure. Each year members of our team raise money to fund that very research and since 2009 our team has raised over 1.6 million dollars. It amazes me every time I think of it.
We couldn’t have done it without your help.
I am asking you again to please donate. However much you can afford… no amount is too small and every penny counts. Volunteer... provide your support either in person or virtually.
Together we can make a difference and kick cancers ass!
See you in Freedom Plaza on May 1st!!
National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research; advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community; and providing comprehensive patient, family and caregiver resources. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
