Welcome to My Personal Page
My brother David was diagnosed with a brain tumor in November 2009. He was 42 years old, a husband to Tracey and the father of Collin who was 2 1/2 years old at the time. Throughout his 2 1/2 year battle he dealt with chemotherapy, radiation, clinical trials, vision problems, weakness and lack of control of his left arm and leg, multiple blood clots, nose bleeds and more. Even going through all of this, David never lost his sarcasm, quick wit or sense of humor. He stayed positive and continually talked about the future. I truly believe that his attitude and positive outlook helped us to have the 2 1/2 years that we had with him.
David's battle ended on June 6, 2012. He left behind a wonderful wife of almost eight years, a most precious 5 year old son (who is like David in so many ways), two loving parents, his "two sisters", a family of amazing in-laws, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. My hope now is that we can raise money to help find a cure for this disease so that other families don't have to go through this nightmare.
Even though it has been almost twelve years, I miss David and think about him every day. I still cry when certain memories pop into my head or when I hear certain songs. He would be so proud of the wonderful job Tracey is doing raising Collin and even more amazed with how Collin is growing up. We are so lucky to have Collin in our lives. He is a miniature David in so many ways.
On May 5, 2024 our family will be back in Washington D.C. for the live event!!! In memory of David, we would love for you to join us in person and relive the memories. If you are not able to join us, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we walk (or run for the crazy ones!) in memory of David and thousands of others who have either lost their battle or continue to fight this horrible disease. If you are able to, please consider donating to the National Brain Tumor Society as they try to find a cure for this disease. Every dollar will help!
Thank you for your generous contribution.
Love, Susan
