It’s that time again. Thank you to everyone who has supported our family and the memory of Chris. Thank you for taking action to fund progress, trials, and someday a cure that we desperately need. On May 1, we will return in person at the DC Race for Hope.
Brain cancer took our hero from us, and the memories of the loss of quality of life Chris endured before his passing still haunt me. The conversations that Jack and I have about his dad are emotional and joyful at the same time - “Daddy loved this (pizza, football, the beach, a bargain)” and “I don’t know why he had to die, but I know he is in heaven and so proud of you". What motivates me now, as painful as it can be, is honoring Chris in every way we can, including this race, and fundraising for a cure so others do not endure what Chris and our family have. This is not the time to sit back; we cannot give up. If you're here, you're part of the community now. Let's do this together. Let’s do it for Chris.
