Hi Everyone,

Today, February 2, 2022, marks the 21st anniversary of my craniotomy and I'm once again celebrating this second chance at life that I've been given by participating in the Race for Hope.  It is an appropriate name for the event that raises funds for finding a cure to brain tumors.  I desperately needed hope as I went through surgery and radiation.  I remember looking in the  mirror as I was putting moisturizer on my face 21 years ago and suddenly, I thought 'why am I doing this'?  I may not live long enough to see wrinkles.  I was 41 years old, and now I am, by the grace of God, 62! 

This year's Race for Hope may be an in-person event, so I'll be walking, wrinkles and all, with other survivors on May 1, 2022! J
