Welcome to My Personal Page
I am uniting with others to make a difference in the fight against brain tumors. I am passionate about this cause, so I’m taking action and need your help.
In the fall of 2016, a good friend of mine, Chris Connelly was diagnosed with Ependymoma, a rare type of brain tumor. At the time, his wife, Kristen, was 8 months pregnant with their first child, Jack. Since then, Chris has undergone three different surgeries to remove the tumors, radiation, and is continuing to fight, despite a recent recurrence of tumors in his brain. While we are still confident that Chris will go on to make a full recovery, brain tumor research is traditionally underfunded compared to other types of cancer.
Chris's friends and family are trying to change that. We've rallied together to participate in the Race for Hope and are trying to raise money so that people like Chris can go on to lead long, and healthy lives. And kids like his son, Jack, won't have to know what it's like to have their parents affected by this cruel disease. Race for Hope - DC supports the National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure in their quest to find a cure for brain tumors. I believe in their mission, and as a result, I'm picking back up my running shoes (something I vowed I wouldn't do!) to raise money. Will join join me in contributing to this worthy cause?
National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure are making strides for a cure - but more needs to be done. Please join in my effort!
