Welcome to My Personal Page
16 years of blessings and gratitude
I was diagnosed in 2008 and not a day goes by that I don't give thanks for the successful outcome. Sixteen years ago I was living a nightmare and I could not have been more mistaken. My brain tumor experience has been one of the best in my life. I am grateful for the opportunity to have been treated at Johns Hopkins and for my medical team. I am grateful for the love and support my family, friends and collleagues provided. And I am humbled, honored and blessed to be a part of the brain tumor community - a dedicated community of survivors, caregivers, doctors, nurses, researchers, friends and family. I am committed to this cause because I want everyone’s experience to be like mine and I want to help as much as I possibly can, but I need your help please.
Race for Hope - DC with its incredible grass roots beginning has surpassed 2 decades of remarkable brain tumor advocacy. We continue to join forces in the fight against brain tumors by raising funds for research in the annual Race for Hope DC . Through generous gifts from individuals like YOU! -- my friends and family --and company sponsorships, the Race for Hope DC has raised over $30 million in its history.
Thank you for all of your previous and future support in helping to find a cure for brain tumors!
Hugs and kisses
Marisa
