I have supported the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS) and participated in the annual race/walk for a long time because the cause of curing brain tumors has been important to me. Last year, the event took on an entirely new meaning after I was diagnosed with a brain tumor myself. Thanks to my amazing network of family and friends, I was fortunate enough to help raise significant funds for this important cause. Over the past several months, I have had two brain surgeries, undergone radiation, and have been treated with chemotherapy and many other medications. But I am still upbeat and taking this one day at a time. I also know that some patients don't have the kind of support that I do and it is especially important that an organization like NBTS has the resources it needs. With your generosity, we can truly try to help everyone living with a brain tumor. Thank you for once again considering supporting my team, Rachel's Racers, as we raise money to kick the crap out of brain tumors on May 1.
