Hi family and friends,
Casey was diagnosed with a brain tumor which we then found out it was Glioblastoma (GBM) on February 10th 2021 after losing feeling in his right arm and hand along with slurred speech and tiredness. The left frontal lobe tumor was inoperable and Casey put up one hell of a fight for 7+ months and passed peacefully on September 26, 2021. He underwent a brain biopsy, then chemo, radiation, MRI's, CT's, many outpatient therapies such as PT, OT, and Speech. Everyone knows that we were advocating and telling our story since day 1. I will continue to advocate and bring awareness to GBM in hopes that one day there will be a cure. I have registered to fundraise for the National Brain Tumor Society's (NBTS) Race for Hope-DC because I am passionate about the NBTS mission to conquer and cure brain tumors — once and for all. NBTS needs your support. Supporting this mission is more critical than ever. No donation is too small. With your help, we can make a difference in the lives of those living with a brain tumor. Thank you for your support and please consider tuning in as we honor this community on May 1st. This is a kick off to Brain Cancer awareness month as well!
We are doing a virtual option and would love for our friends and family to join us at Annie's Playground on May 1st at 9:00 AM for the walk in honor of Casey. Please wear your gray!
