Welcome to My Personal Page
One year ago today we learned the awful news that a new spot was found. Was it radiation necrosis or tumor? Wait and see they said. A new scan in 1 month, instead of 2 months and a needle biopsy will tell us. In 1 month, time sped up and slowed down in ways I will never be able to describe.
May is gray and recognizes brain cancer awareness month. Today is in fact gray outside and so have the the past 7.5 months since our ray of sunshine left us.
I know last year did not offer many treatment options for William. Each year, new trials are being developed and depend on funding. The National Brain Tumor Society is a major source for new research as well as services to support families like us.
Please consider donating this wonderful organization in the spirit of progress.
Simona, Sybille and I will be walking again this year and every year after to recognize the last steps William took before that May 2nd scan told us life would never be the same.
Last year, I created the team 'You'll Never Walk Alone' because Liverpool is William's favorite soccer team, and their slogan means more to us now than ever. We are not alone. He is with us always.
Peace be with you,
Laveta, William (in memory), Simona and Sybille
