Welcome to My Personal Page
I am participating in the Race for Hope this May to raise funds for the National Brain Tumor Society, in honor of my good friend and college roommate, Kate, who was diagnosed last year.
Kate is an incredible friend and I am so thankful to have her in my life. We were roommates in college, and she’s always been outgoing, hilarious, and caring, and a friend I could always depend on in good times and bad. She is navigating this diagnosis with positivity and bravery that is nothing short of inspiring.
Brain cancer is underfunded when compared to other cancers and many are incurable, like Kate’s. The National Brain Tumor Society is committed to defeating brain tumors and improving the quality of patient’s lives. Please consider donating to this cause to help further the research for a cure and support patients like Kate. Any amount is meaningful and makes a difference.
Kate's story:
Upon completion of an MRI in August 2023, Kate was told she needed emergency surgery to remove an aggressive brain tumor. Less than 24 hours later, she underwent a craniotomy at Mass General Hospital. Since the end of September, Kate has gone through intensive radiation and continues to go through aggressive chemo treatments and other advanced trials in her courageous battle.
Her road has been hard to say the least, but Kate has stated the burden has been lightened through the continued generosity of others: meals coming to the door, being provided the most stylish post-op haircuts, compassionate medical professionals who have kindly and calmly guided Kate through her diagnosis and treatments, and all the prayers and good thoughts being sent Kate's way on the daily.
On behalf of Kate, thank you for all the love, light, and support being provided. Kate's here fighting, and she hopes you'll fight with her.
National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research; advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community; and providing comprehensive patient, family and caregiver resources. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
