I can do hard things
Cancer sucks. Two amazing women I know have lost their fight in the past few months. My heart breaks for those they left behind.
I played rugby with Nikki in college. She was such a fun, spunky, and kind person. She was diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain tumor in July and underwent brain surgery to remove the tumor, then chemo and radiation. Just 8 months after diagnosis, the cancer took her life. She left behind her husband and two small children. We definitely need better treatments and earlier detection methods.
