Karen's Pea Brain 2.0
2023 will be the 12th year for Karen's team in the Race for Hope DC. In past years we've gone into the race with optimism and hope. This year is different. We lost our Captain, Karen D'Alessandro, to this horrible disease on April 9, 2023. Saying she was a Warrior is a terrible understatement. Since her initial diagnosis in October 2009 she fought bravely every day. She was a great inspiration to us all, my Soul Mate and the love of my life. I will miss her and her fierce spirit every day. I am truly blessed to have shared her life for the last 33 years.
Thank you to everyone that donates to our team and to all of the other teams. There's a cure out there somewhere and you are all helping to find it.
