Race For Hope DC

Chris Strong

These two teams have lost their heroes and continue as one team in their memory. Katie and Kristen, along with their kids, have merged their two teams to support each other and come together to celebrate and remember their beloved husbands Kevin and Chris. Join team Kevin + Chris Strong!

Kevin Strong
It's that time of year family, friends, and our beloved supporters. The time of year when we all come together as one to find a cure for brain tumors. I can't think of a better place to be then at the start line on May 1, 2022 to support all those affected by this horrific disease. After losing my husband, and children's father, Kevin McKay on July 30, 2018 it has been my honor and duty to see that I put forth as much effort as humanly possible to help find a cure for brain tumors. The brain tumor community and this fundraiser meant alot to Kevin as he fought Stage IV GBM. Kevin, our family, and many others do not deserve this nightmare and neither should anyone else. My family and I have been forever impacted by brain cancer and we hope by raising awareness and raising funds for research we can help many others from the rapid devastation as a result of brain tumors/brain cancer. Please consider joining our team (making a donation) on May 1, 2022 for a day that will change your life forever. It certainly changed ours. Thank you immensly for being the best team and supporters we could have ever asked for. Love, Kevin (Our Angel), Katie, Olivia & Reese. Always, Team#KevinStrong

We lost Christopher (Chris), a loving husband, father, son, grandson, brother and uncle on September 26, 2019 to very rare brain cancer. Not a day goes by that he isn’t missed. We invite friends, family, and colleagues to join us on Sunday, May 1st, 2022 at the Race for Hope, which returns for the first time in person in two years, in downtown Washington DC to celebrate and remember Chris – his infectious smile and laugh, his optimism, and love for his family. Our team of nearly 200 has come together the last two years to support Chris and his family and has raised over $125,000. By channeling our heartbreak and energy into the Race for Hope, we can continue to help the National Brain Tumor Society fund the type of research needed to further research and treatment so that future families aren’t devasted by this disease as ours has been. Jack looks forward to "Daddy's race" and we hope you can join us at this meaningful event and continue the fight to crush brain cancer.
