GARY'S GLIOBLASTERS IS BACK! We are a team located in Charlottesville, VA and will again join forces with the National Brain Tumor Society by participating in 2023 Race for Hope-DC on May 7, 2023. 

The team is named in memory of my late husband Gary Cox. We lived in Northern Virginia and were married for 25 years. We have a daughter together named Katie who was just 15 when her dad died at age 59 in 2012. Gary fought hard for 5 months after diagnosis of GBM. Believe me, I never thought that I would ever hear the words 'Brain Cancer' and 'you have 3-4 months without treatment and 12-18 months with treatment.' Guess what? Treatment didn't matter at all because of the treatment options, or lack of, treatment options. His quality of life was terrible. This has to change and without the efforts of the NBTS there is no hope. This is why we need you to help in any way you can. Join us that day, make a donation and/or become a virtual team member.
