Race For Hope DC

Friends4Michael

This is our 20th year of participating in the Race for Hope, or as we call it, Michael's Race. We took a break for a couple years, but we are back this year and hope to be as strong as ever. We are very excited and hope to see you on race day but if you cannot make it, hope to see you in the donation column!

We do this race for our son, Michael III. Michael so loved this race and being able to participate in it. Back in 2002, I remember him on stage making a presentation to a small crowd in the old race location. He donated more than they had ever seen before - $15,000!

The following year, Michael worked hard to be back. He was in a wheelchair and struggling to breathe, but he was determined to make it. His team swelled to over 125 supporters - far and away the largest team to date for the race. On the stage in the new location on Freedom Plaza, Michael stunned the audience - and the organizers! - with a donation of $50,000!

We are very much looking forward to being back and honoring our son and brother. Hope you can join our efforts.
