Please join us on a crucial mission to raise funds for the National Brain Tumor Society in support of all those impacted by brain cancer, but especially for our girl Kate Jenkins. Kate is an inspiration to all who know her and her story in her own words is included below. Kate was diagnosed with an incurable form of brain cancer at the end of 2023 - but her fearless battle rages on through her immeasurable strength and unwavering will.

Brain cancer is underfunded when compared to other cancers and disappointingly, many are incurable, like Kate's. Whether you can join us in person or in spirit in DC this spring, we welcome you to donate and raise awareness towards this horrible disease that deserves more attention than it gets. We walk for Kate, we walk for hope. 

Kate's story:

Upon completion of an MRI in August 2023, Kate was notified she needed emergency surgery to remove an aggressive brain tumor. Less than 24 hours later, she underwent a craniotomy at Mass General Hospital. Since the end of September, Kate has gone through intensive radiation and continues to go through aggressive chemo treatments and other advanced trials in her courageous battle. 

Her road has been hard to say the least, but Kate has stated the burden has been lightened through the continued generosity of others: meals coming to the door, being provided the most stylish post-op haircuts, compassionate medical professionals who have kindly and calmly guided Kate through her diagnosis and treatments, and all the prayers and good thoughts being sent Kate's way on the daily.
