Race For Hope DC

Mike Coda's Little Tigers

Please join our team--Mike Coda's Little Tigers--and contribute whatever you can.

Twenty years ago, my husband Mike was dying of brain cancer. He had beaten the odds for three years, but in 2004 the disease was raging. Two of his colleagues at the Nature Conservancy formed a team in his honor. Mike himself had run the race before; in 2004 we gathered in force to support him. He certainly felt the love.

All these years later, it's important to keep showing up. Anyone can register as a virtual participant. Or you can sign up to walk or run the course along Pennsylvania Avenue. Either way, I hope you'll don a t-shirt from years past on race day, May 5, 2024.

Despite the awful disease behind this cause, the in-person event is actually a joy for me. More and more survivors participate each year, and hope is in the air. The energy, enthusiasm, and camaraderie are palpable. Please give what you can. All contributions support the mission of the National Brain Tumor Society, which is to find a cure.

Since we first ran the race with Mike in 2004, Mike Coda's Little Tigers have come through again and again. Thank you. And you know Mike would thank you too.

Karen
